Leehom should take “Kiss Goodbye” out of his albumPosted at 08:34 on 2006-Apr-24 Of Leehom’s own composed songs, he has only released around 100. What happened to the other songs he composed? Many composers have many songs that they do not release. Leehom is no different. He always carries his lab top with him and composes songs whenever he has free time but of every 10 songs he composes, he is lucky to publish one of them. Most of his songs are just left in his hard drive or are just left as demos in Yahoo Briefcase. The song that has caused the most impact is a song called, “Finally.” This song was written for the SeGame (www.segame.com) commercial, and never officially released. Many fans are complaining that it should have come with his GSYX album. On boards and such, fans have expressed that it is a shame that the song, which is also a ballad, wasn’t released. Others claim that they like this ballad better than “Kiss Goodbye," and they are willing to 'sacrifice' that song for Finally. “I would rather have Finally in the album, than Kiss Goodbye,” Xiao Ke expressed. Many fans have even contacted Sony asking when “Finally” will officially be released. But Sony has given no official reply. In fact many of Leehom’s hyped songs have never made it to his albums: Leehom and JJ Lin co-wrote a song together, but due to company difficulties, that song all recorded and finished, had to be scrapped. Leehom and A-mei also sang a love song duet, but that song was never released also due to distribution rights and as highly anticipated as that song was, that song has disappeared. In 2000, Leehom and Coolio co-wrote a song for Noriko Fujiwara, but that song didn’t even reach production and his company scrapped the entire project. Leehom also has recorded 50+ English songs, including entire English versions of his songs from his “Forever’s First Day” and “Wei Yi” album, but those songs just may never see the daylight. Leehom has decided to focus on Chinese music and doesn’t have any plans of releasing any English albums. However, fans have been finding Leehom’s demos of scarps of songs over the Internet. Including an English song called, “Come and Get It,” which was recorded in the summer of 2004 at a production studio in New York. Other songs include certain English versions of songs from his albums. Many fans have been wondering why the company doesn’t allow Leehom to release those songs. Article taken from: www.forumize.be/

Same here, I feel the fans shouldn't complain this way. I love Kiss Goodbye as much as I love Finally. Maybe they could have suggested including Finally in the next album, that sounds more appropriate.

2006/4/19: Going to Osaka
After Nagoya concert, Leehom received many encouraging letters from the fans. These letters touched Leehomfs heart deeply. Please allow me to share excerpt of 3 letters with you;
******* *******
Dear Leehom,
First of all, I want to thank you for coming back to Japan, making the second Japan tour real. I also want to thank you for showing a great stage with great band members. I have been traveling like you, from Nagoya to Osaka, then Tokyo. You may have been disappointed on the first day in Nagoya, where the seats were not filled, as we have been really worried about the ticket sales, because the concerts were all on weekdays. A lot of us put on notices on our websites and blog pages, and have friends listen to your CDsc grassroots sales promoters!! c We just simply let more people know the great music you create.
Someone told me that the power balance between an artist and audience is even in any concert; if an artist does well, audience will react well, and vice versa. The concert is a process both an artist and audience build together c
I hope c gweh can create more great concert in the following world tour. Come back to Japan, soon!
******* *******
Dear Leehom,
Thank you for your Live in Japan. We are happy to be able to hear your songs closely. All songs you sang with love sounded in my mind. Thank you for the luxurious time. c..
But, I am painful in my mind because we have made you have painful time in Nagoya the first day. I wanted you to do live pleasantly, but we have made you surely disappointed. I am sorry.
There were lots of people who were not able to come even if they wanted to come because the schedule was bad. There are a lot of people who love your music in Japan. Your music gives courage and hope to a lot of fans of Japan. Please donft forget that. c.
******* *******
Dear Leehom,
I went to the Nagoya concert. I certainly think that person's entering was few of Nagoya. However, Leehom did as usual a very wonderful concert.
I went with my daughter who became three years old. The daughter was pleased together, too. The stage was satisfied because the daughter was held. When the arm is tired, and the daughter is unloaded on ground, the daughter who canft see the stage said: uLeehom is not seen. Hold me.vIt is said by the daughter, and the holding by me at once. It enjoyed it to the last minute though the daughter became tired a little in the middle of the concert and was taking a rest.
He throw a kiss to the daughter in the middle of the concert, when daughter's throw a kiss and her voice were carried to Leehom.
Three-years old child can enjoy the two and half hour concert, and I think it is very wonderful. This concert is a very wonderful memory in daughter's mind. The talk of Leehom is told after attending his concert by the daughter every day.
******* *******
Good times or bad times, thanks for always been there for Leehom.

Shu Qi Refuses to Talk About "Wang Shu" love.
On the 30th, Shu Qi wore a more than 20,000,000 jewelry at Tainan, her mood was quite relaxed. Once asked about her and Alexander Wang Lee Hom's being together in Japan, she emphasized that the two are just normal friends, and she doesn't want to answer it again. Facing the electronic media, she directly returned the microphone.
Shu Qi spokespersoning for French jewelry brand and she went to Tainan to cut the ribbon. She wore a low-cut white little dress with jewlery worth more than 20,000,000 - quite dazzling, but her and Alexander's relationship in Tokyo was much more alluring to the people who went. Even though she already expressed in Beijing that the two aren't in a relationship, but on the 20th at the reporter meeting, the new relationship rumors was still the focus.
Once she hears the word "Tokyo", she can't resist loudly shotuing "Everyone has too big of an imagination." She emphasizes that the two have a normal friendship, charmingly angrily said: "Telling fortunes is so untrue, saying that I wouldn't have any scandalous news this year, but I've had nothing but scandalous news since last year." Last year, after winning the Golden Horse award, she expressed that she wanted to get married and have babies, from Zhang Chen to Liu Te to Alexander Wang, she's had endless scandals. She said: "I'm waiting for a 100 carat ring, then I'll get married!"
If Alexander pursued her, would she accept? Shu Qi replied: "I'm not going to answer anything of that matter." Asked about Zhang Chen pursuing her before, Shu Qi's reaction is different, you can tell that she's trying really hard to come clean from the scandalous news. When she was anxiously compelled by the media, she voluntarily branches off to another topic. When she's faced with the electronic media, she heard about the "Wang Shu" love again, and she immediately returns the microphone, no longer responding to that phrase. After the Tokyo shopping trip was exposed, at first, she would joke about the "Wang Shu" love. But on the 30th, she changed and refused to respond to any questions about that topic.
When talking about work, she relaxes a bit. On the 3rd, she will go to South Korea to film "My Wife Is Lao Da 3"; the movement scene will be extremely numerous. She already goes all out with her body, practicing her waist strength. She laughs and says: "I hope I can fight better than "Setting Sun Angel". On the 9th, she will collaborate with mainland director for the movie "Floating Dream" - estimated that filming will take place in America.

Fake Alexander Wang Lee Hom Online - Fans, Don't be Fooled
A fake online person pretending to be Alexander Wang Lee Hom, fans, don't be fooled! Lately, Alexander and Shu Qi have been having a lot of scandalous rumors - reports are many. Someone 'hacked' his identiy, and posted news to his fans - many of Alexander's fans believed it, and the record company quickly clarified that Alexander himself did not write it. He didn't publicize anything, so don't be deceived.
Lately, Alexander has been 'attacked' by the media lately - first with the Victoria London and their past relationship; then he was seen in Japan with Shu Qi buying a ring. The amount of scandal lately is really shocking. And at the same time, someone uses his identity to post things on the internet. The person said: "Wang Lee Hom: Thank you everyone for supporting my album and my concert." Even the ID and picture - all used Alexander's. Even his introduction was just one sentence: "Hi~ Hello everyone. I am Lee Hom."
In the Introduction part, this online fraud used first person to describe himself, showing his imagination, creativity, connotation and individualism - he probably saw his friends playing around with online identities and he wanted to try it too. Once word about Alexander's "blog" came out, more than 80 friends added him on their "guestlist".
Besides the record company clarifying things for Alexander, an online expert Angela expressed that people can always use entertainer's name to make online friends. If the record company finds out, they need to be watched. And Alexander's case has been processed already.
Besides this hacking, "Wang Victoria" love was exposed, someone used Alexander's name on his website to post a comment saying that he doesn't even know Victoria. The record company expressed that Alexander has never left messages on his website, and fans, please don't believe it.

Seeking to be a Chinese HeroArticle by: Ong Su Bin Taken from: The Straits Times, 1/5/06 Wang Lee Hom hopes that music will be appreciated all over the world one day. Given a choice, Taiwan-based singer-songwriter Wang Lee Hom would rather have a Chinese hit on the international charts than break into the Western market with covers of English pop songs. "If I'm going to sing something in English, the record company would probably produce a radio-friendly single, something people have heard of and that's not what I'm interested in," says Wang in an interview last Saturday. The American-born Chinese was in town to promote his newest Mandarin album, Heroes Of Earth. For someone hwo started out in the industry without knowing a word of Mandarin, Wang, 29, says he has become a lot more confident, decisive, and certain of what he wants in his music- not to mention a lot more fluent in Mandarin, too. Best remembered for his love songs like Wei Yi (The Only One), he lets on that he has changed dramatically, music-wise. "As I grow, the music changes. There's so much to explore in music, why would I want to do the same thing again?" Which is why Heroes Of Earth, his 11th album, marks a turning point in his musical career. It not only celebrates his 10th year in the business but also shows a discernible pride in Chinese cultureand music, something which he wears proudly on the album sleeves. The 10-track album centres around the theme of Beijing and Kunqu operas- one of China's oldest opera forms- and has sold more than 15,000 copies here. While his love for Chinese opera began when he first heard it at the age of 15, for this album, he actually watched the movie Farewell, My Concubine, starring the late Leslie Cheung, 20 times for reference. He even got some of the musicians from the original soundtrack to contribute to his album. The result: a "chinked-out" musical style, whereby Wang mixes Chinese opera music elements with R&B and hip-hop in his songs. he had coined the term "chinked-out" while he was working on his last album Shagri-La in 2004 because he wanted to develop a genre for Chinese tunes, different from the usual mainstrea, hip-hop fare. America's Jin and Korea singer Rain have also lent their vocals int his album. Wang says the album is selling well on iTunes and in North America and Canada, where, perhaps because of the growing Asain population and influence, people have started listening to Chinese songs. While he says he can understand why the song Kiss Goodbye is a karaoke hit, his favourite is the title track Heroes Of Earth because "I like songs that are edgier and have a bit more say". He adds: "I'm hoping that one day Chinese music can be like English music where people from all over the world can appreciate and learn it."
