Ang Lee Begins Filming 'Lust, Caution' In Ipoh
IPOH, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- Renowned director Ang Lee began filming his latest movie "Lust, Caution" at several locations here Wednesday.
The film features several international actors and actresses, including Cannes Film Festival award winner Tony Leung, Wang Lee-Hom and newcomer Tang Wei.
Shooting was done in Jalan Bandar Timah, Jalan Panglima and Jalan Tun Sambanthan in the old town here.
Filming will continue in Jalan Chung On Siew, Jalan Chua Cheng Bok and Jalan Che Wan Thursday, and in Penang on Saturday. Shooting of the film will be completed in Shanghai and Taiwan.
"Lust, Caution" is based on author Zhang Ailing or Eileen Chang's novel, which tells the story of a group of patriotic Chinese students who plan to kill an intelligence chief of the Japanese-backed Chinese government during the Second World War.
The Taiwan-born Ang Lee shot to fame with his award-winning film "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon".
