Leehom said, "The movie I'm currently filming is a story that took place in the 1930s, so I can say that I experienced how the 1930s life was like. Therefore I chose this song, 'As Time Goes By'. This song was produced way back in 1931, and it is also the theme song for the movie, Casablanca, so it's only exclusive for mobile phones."
Leehom is currently busy filming a new movie with famous international director Ang Lee as the director. In the film Leehom plays a patriotic young scholar. To grasp more into character, Leehom is willing to do anything, such as recording his voice with his mobile phone to help him to memorize his lines. When people saw Leehom constantly muttering quietly at his mobile phone, people began to think that Leehom was having mental problems.
Leehom said, "The paparazzi shot pictures of me talking in the phone on set. I was actually listening to what I recorded on my phone so it could help me with my lines."
For the new film, Leehom purposely lost up to six pounds, and is also practicing his pronunciation so he can avoid giving people a too heavy of an ABC image. Everything has been new and peculiar for him. Advertising the mobile phone he is being a spokesperson for (Sony Ericsson) allows him to express his love toward his favorite 1930 oldies song. Despite of Leehom's extremely busy schedule, he is very happy.
