Dear All
This is a really great piece of message posted for us. Thanks to all who have given us some constructive feedbacks and suggestions.
Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to give you a very brief background of the fan club. Our Home Singapore was first started in 1999 with the objective to gather all Lee Hom Singapore fans under one roof. The now dysfunction Our Home (OH) Taiwan was our HQ.
At the initial stage the fan club did consider the option of collecting club funds from our members but after some discussions with OH Taiwan, Sony Music and Wang Mama (Lee Hom's mum), we thought it would be better to keep the function and responsibility of the fan club simple. Therefore members of Our Home Singapore do not need to pay any membership fee to join the club. So far we are comfortable acting as a contact person between the relevant authorities and the members, and disseminate whatever information we have about Lee Hom via email and website.
We started out with zero experience and we are very fortunate to find many helpful members to help us along the way. We did it out of our own free time from work and studies. We may not be the best fan club around but we are glad to be doing a service for the benefit of all Lee Hom fans. We are very proud to keep this club going till today.
In the past there was not much enthusiasm from the members till Lee Hom came to Singapore for a concert. We were happy that many responded and booked the concert tickets through the fan club. So the club t-shirt came out recently and it was sold only to those who have booked the tickets from us. We do have the plan to take in more t-shirt orders from the members. Please wait patiently
Some issues to address:
==>The fan club did announce to members to wear the red t-shirt. We could not 'organise' them to wear red. Whether or not this instruction was received was not up to the club to control. Gradually for all future fan club activities, we hope everyone will start to wear the t-shirt.
==>Fans who have requested for Show B tickets did not turn up for the show. These tickets could have given to other fans who are interested to watch the performance. We would greatly appreciate it if you give us an advance notice for any cancellations, else penalty may apply at our discretion.
==>Show A was meant to cater for the fans and Mediacorp has already made special seating arrangement for our fanclub. Unfortunately Lee Hom could not make it to the show
Show B on the other hand was a little different, as we need to talk to the floor manager on the very night to reserve the seats for the fan club. Some seats were already reserved for the sponsors, so we have tried our best to locate a block of seats for the members at the back. The "admin people" whom everyone has mistaken was not the President of the fan club. She did a great help by co-ordinating the seats for the fan club. Why was she not seated with us? Well, that was her personal choice. But for your information, the President was seated with everyone at the back.
Qn: Why was the President not co-odinating? Because she has to wait till the very last minute for any members who have not collected the show tickets.
Qn: Why can't we meet and discuss the cheers beforehand?
We agreed that Show B was a bit disorganised. It is not a regular affair for the fan club to organise activities for the members, therefore co-ordinating was not easy for us. We do not know most of the members and many of them did not wear a red t-shirt, which made the job much more difficult for us. Somehow, through many small groups and word of mouth, we did manage to gather majorty of the fans to seat together. The fans that we come to know so far are very shy and ¡®tame¡¯ like what fAytH has described, it was very impromptu for us to include some cheers for the evening and we were actually quite worried whether Lee Hom could hear us from afar. In general the group was very co-operative and active throughout his performance ;D
