Yeah precisely, there were laughters. I'm pretty irritated by them and surprised that R21 audiences are actually worse than NC16 audiences. I thought a more mature audience group should be able to appreciate more. They are watching it with their crude sense. This is an art film not a RA show even though it's rated R21. Sigh. Tang Wei was singing that song and people kept laughing. I bet you would be irritated too. And when she hold his hand and sing, he teared, they laughed at this too. Where is the laughing point? ? I watched it at GV Plaza. You can check online listing. They show it at GV Vivo, Marina & Plaza. At the Cathay, Cineleisure & Shaw Lido too. My advice is help your parents book the tickets online at least two days before the movie date to get good seats. Lust, Caution is really popular now. Last night the cinema was fully packed, people even don't mind taking the first row. This is the first time seeing a cinema fully packed. So if they want to choose good seats and preferred time slot, book days beforehand. I booked the night before and have to check all cinemas to find good seats. As all the earlier slots have been taken up, I was kinda "forced" to watch 9+pm slot. Even so, I only managed to book last 7th row cos the rest are all booked. Oh and please tell your parents to be really mentally prepared and watch with an open heart. Haha.. I'm just wondering would they still let you watch it after they have watched. yeah they laughed cos they think the song is funny I guess. Sigh. Now you know how irritated I was, classic scenes ruined by people with crude sense. Oh and they also laughed at the killing scenes too. Urg i feel irritated just recalling it.

thanks for the information good to hear that Lust Caution is doing well hmm.. I hope my parents will let me watch.. since they love Leehom too.. haha. My parents aren't the strict kind and this is not the first time I'm watching a movie that "I'm not supposed to." Gosh, just realised most of my favourite movies are either NC16 or M18.. lol Good news: heard that Lust Caution DVD is going to be released in China and Taiwan end of next month so we'll probably get the dvd too in SG. Yeah! And also, there's this special edition dvd that is going to be released next year, January.

caroline, I totally agree with you. Handphone was ringing at certain times but wasn't at the crucial moment. People just never learn! forevalurve, haha i think your parents must be really open minded enough to let you watch it. This is unlike M18 show, it's much more daring. But I think your parents should be, can't wait for the DVD to be out so I can buy it and watch again!

kelly1993, I have no idea why they laughed too. The only thing I can conclude is they are not really appreciating it. I was very irritated throughout cos their laughters affect the show in some way.

lols...and i remember people writing into the straits times saying that only the NC-16 version was shown here to earn more money from "immature leehom teenage fans"...smack their heads lah, we're like sooo much more mature than some adults who juz wanna hav fun watching tang wei naked.

WHAT? That is so rude. Leehom teenage fans who went to watch the movie are not immature. The real 'immature' Leehom teenage fans are people like me and the other 13-15 years old fans who can't watch the movie.
Now that you mentioned about The Straits Times, I feel like witing in to complain about the R21 crowd.... but nah.. I didn't even watch the movie and I'm going to sound like a immature teenage fan. *roll eyes*
haha, yeah.. smack their heads hard!

we shouldn't be bothered abt how ppl view us.. an awesome movie would not be spoilt by those remarks.. there are still mature audiences out there who will understand the movie so relax guys..

I think its pretty biased, young doesn't mean immature. Of cos not all mature audience behave that way, like caroline said, there are mature audience who appreciate the show (like me! Hahaha) Anyway I still enjoyed the movie nevertheless, just irritated with some people at that moment. I'm trying to find someone to watch with me for the third time!
